Global Research Trends is a market research and thought leadership company based in Lahore, Pakistan. We work on projects that help businesses understand markets, make informed decisions, and develop new opportunities.
We are looking for a motivated and talented fresh graduate to join our technology team as a Junior App Developer. This is an opportunity to gain practical experience, work on real-world projects, and develop your technical skills in a professional environment.
The position begins with a three-month probation period. Based on your technical abilities, performance, learning progress, and overall suitability, you may be offered a permanent full-time position upon successful completion.
Please note: This is strictly an on-site position at NASTP, Cantt, Lahore. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available. Applicants must be able to commute and commit to the required working schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and improving mobile applications.
- Build and implement application features according to project requirements.
- Develop functional, responsive, easy-to-use interfaces.
- Integrate APIs and connect applications with backend services.
- Test applications, identify bugs, and help troubleshoot technical issues.
- Write clean, organised, maintainable code and use Git and GitHub for collaboration.
- Work with teammates to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Help debug, improve performance, and update applications.
- Learn new tools and development practices, follow timelines, communicate progress, and document technical work.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Fresh graduate; candidates with extensive professional experience are not the target audience.
- Good understanding of programming fundamentals and object-oriented programming.
- Basic knowledge of Dart and TypeScript, mobile application concepts, APIs, and RESTful services.
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
- Problem-solving skills, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently and with a team.
- Good communication, responsibility, and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications (not mandatory)
- Familiarity with Flutter and mobile application development.
- Experience with REST APIs; basic knowledge of databases and backend technologies.
- Exposure to AWS or another cloud platform.
- Application work through university assignments, a final-year project, personal projects, or independent learning.
- A GitHub profile or portfolio demonstrating your development skills.
If you have built your own projects, highlight them in your application, even if you do not have professional work experience.
Three-Month Probation Period
The probation period gives you practical experience while allowing the company to assess your suitability for a long-term position. Performance is evaluated on technical ability, learning and improvement, problem-solving, quality of work, professionalism, and commitment. Candidates who meet expectations may be offered a permanent full-time position.
